Planning Effort Activities

Review of cyberinfrastructure initiatives within and outside archaeology. This review is largely being conducted through a series of publicly available virtual lectures (link)

Development of an Implementation Plan including:

  • functional requirements that take into account the sociological issues associated with engaging different constituencies within archaeology
  • technical considerations for the cyberinfrastructure
  • financial model for long-term viability
  • substantive case studies designed to provide a range of constituencies with a compelling demonstration of the research value of the infrastructure's more advanced components.

Work at the policy level in cooperation with other organizations to begin to effect changes that will foster the development of and broad participation in a cyberinfrastructure for archaeology.
